Why we never book anything for you
It surprises people, but it's on purpose. Here's why our plans give you options and links instead of bookings.

One of the first questions we get is, 'So do you book everything for us?' The answer is no, and we want to explain why we think that's a good thing.
You stay in control
When you book directly with the hotel, airline or guide, the relationship is yours. Changes, refunds and loyalty points all stay with you, not tangled up in a middleman.
Our advice stays honest
Because we don't take money for bookings, we have no reason to push you towards one place over another. We recommend what we'd choose for ourselves, and where we ever use affiliate links, we say so clearly.
What you get instead
A personal plan with two or three options at each step, the reasons we picked them, rough price ranges 'as of' the date we checked, and links so you can book in a few minutes. Think of it as travelling with a friend who's already been.
